D-Link DPS-500A/E Redundant power supply unit
D-Link DPS-500A/E Redundant power supply unit
Part Number: DPS-500A/E
DPS-200A, DPS-500A and DPS-500DC - it's redundant power supplies (RPS), designed for use with switches D-Link. RPS is implemented in a robust metal housing with a connector for connecting them to the AC or DC power supply (depending on the model) and a connector for connecting to the internal power supply switch. Redundant Power Supply (RPS) is a low-cost device that allows to provide uninterrupted power in the event of an unexpected failure of the internal power supply switch, which may result in a shutdown of the switch devices connected to its ports, or the entire network. Providing necessary for the output power switch, the RPS can improve the reliability of the device.
Redundant power supply
Each RPS D-Link continually monitors the status of the internal power supply. In case of power failure immediately run a backup power source, so that the LAN switch and the connected devices can continue to work. This increases the fault tolerance of the network infrastructure and executed by protection network disconnects the power supply due to the failure of one of the network devices.
Easy and flexible installation
Installing the DPS Series device does not require any changes in the settings of the LAN switch. Except DPS-500DC, each RPS is equipped with an internal power supply and can be connected to any AC power source 90 to 264 volts AC with a frequency of 47 to 63 Hz with a standard power cable. DPS-500DC is connected to a DC power supply instead of the AC.
Modular redundant power supplies
DPS-200A, 500A, and DPS-DPS-500DC - are modular redundant power supplies that can be used as a stand-alone device, or set the DPS-800 chassis. The chassis can be mounted in a standard 19-inch rack. The chassis can be installed more the RPS, which can be connected to the switches mounted in the same rack.
The chassis is mounted in a rack
DPS-800 chassis allows up to two DPS-200A modules, DPS-500A or DPS-500DC in an equipment rack. Using the chassis saves space and at the same time, the cable system will look neat. All the RPS, installed in the chassis, connected directly to the power supply and can be replaced in "hot" mode
