The EasySmart DXS-1100-16SC series switch, equipped with 14 10GBase-X SFP + ports and 2 10GBase-T / SFP + combo ports, switches traffic at speeds up to 10 Gb / s and is designed for use in small and medium-sized businesses. The switch can be used as an aggregation device and is an economical and multifunctional solution for networking 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
Energy saving
Thanks to the D-Link Green technology, the DXS-1100-16SC switch allows you to save energy. It is equipped with temperature sensors and intelligent fans, which are able to change the speed of rotation depending on the temperature, which saves energy and reduces noise. The switch also determines the connection status for each port and automatically switches inactive ports to sleep mode. Due to the chipset used, the DXS-1100-16SC switch allows significantly reducing power consumption.
Simple operation
The DXS-1100-16SC switch supports management using the D-Link Network Assistant or via the Web interface. The utility provides automatic detection and display on the screen of D-Link Smart Switches belonging to the same segment of the L2 network. With this utility, the user does not need to change the IP address of his computer, which simplifies the initial installation of the switch. The user can access the advanced configuration and basic settings of the detected devices, for example, password change and software update. A user-friendly graphical Web interface provides network administrators with the ability to remotely manage the network at the port level.
Auto Surveillance VLAN and Bandwidth Management
The DXS-1100-16SC switch supports Auto Surveillance VLAN (ASV) and Auto Voice VLAN, and is an ideal solution for deployment of VoIP and video surveillance systems. Auto Surveillance VLAN is a technology that provides video surveillance and data transmission through one switch, thus reducing the costs associated with the purchase of additional equipment. ASV also guarantees high-quality viewing of video in real time and control without affecting the transmission of ordinary network data. The function of automatically detecting connected VoIP equipment allows you to place "voice" traffic in a dedicated VLAN. Due to the maximum priority and individual VLAN, this function provides high-quality and secure transmission of VoIP traffic. In addition, the bandwidth management feature allows network administrators to reserve bandwidth for various applications requiring high bandwidth, or to provide them with the highest priority.
Extended feature set
The DXS-1100-16SC switch supports advanced security features such as Static MAC, storm protection and IGMP Snooping. The Static MAC function allows you to create a "white" list of MAC addresses that allows access only to authorized devices. The storm protection function is required to limit broadcast, multicast, or unknown unicast traffic to a specified threshold. The switch blocks or discards packets that are affected by this restriction, since a large number of such traffic can lead to network congestion. The IGMP Snooping feature reduces the number of multicast traffic and increases network performance.
Simple Troubleshooting
The DXS-1100-16SC switch supports Loopback Detection and cable diagnostics, allowing administrators to quickly and easily find and troubleshoot network problems. The Loopback Detection function is used to detect loops and automatically turn off the port on which the loop is detected. The cable diagnosis function is used to determine the type of cable fault.
